Netflix Guide

Netflix Guide

You want great entertainment. Now. We put together this Netflix .PDF so you can organize your queue, find movie and TV show suggestions easily, and manage your viewing history.

Netflix has been leading the way for digital content since 1997. Netflix is the world’s leading Internet television network with over 75 million members in over 190 countries enjoying more than 125 million hours of TV shows and movies per day, including original series, documentaries and feature films.

Members can watch as much as they want, anytime, anywhere, on nearly any Internet-connected screen. Members can play, pause and resume watching, all without commercials or commitments. (Source: Netflix)

But you knew all that, right? You want some tips and tricks for getting the most out of Netflix. Here we go!

Managing Your Queue

With so many choices on Netflix, it’s nearly impossible to remember what you wanted to watch last month, but never got around to doing it. Maybe one movie is more important than the other, but you don’t know how to prioritize it.

Check this out.

Use ‘My List’ to keep track of what’s expiring. First, search for the movie or TV show you want to watch. Then, add it to ‘My List.’ Now when you go to ‘My List,’ you’ll see the expiration date under the title and thumbnail picture. Use the date to prioritize what to watch first, based on what’s expiring soon.

Clearing Your Viewing History

If you share a Netflix account with someone (I won’t tell!) you might not want them to know what you’ve been watching. We’ve all been there. You don’t want Grandma to know you’ve been watching Magic Mike on a non-stop loops.

There’s a solution.

Login to your account on your computer, then go to “Viewing History.” Now you can delete individual titles from the list. (But you can’t delete Magic Mike XXL from your memory.

Get Better Viewing Quality

Way too many times, I’ve been trying to watch Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt and I get nothing but blurry images. Blurry might work well on the stoop crone, but it ain’t gonna work for Titus Andromedon!

Here’s one way to make sure you’re getting the best picture on Netflix.

First, make sure you’re watching in High Definition. According to the help section of the Netflix website, follow these steps.

1.       Navigate to Your Account.

2.       Select Playback Settings.

3.       Under Data Usage, click High.

4.       Click the Save button.

Remember, streaming in HD will burn through data, so make sure you’re connected to a Wi-Fi network.

The other way to get the best picture? Well, we saved that for our ebook. (We had to hold something back!)

Secret Codes

You know what I love? Action movies. You know what I really love? Action movies that star kickass women.

Now I can find a sub-category that shows me exactly what I want.

Netflix has secret numerical codes for obscure movie and TV show categories. You can use these secret codes to load up your queue with exactly what you want to see. Open your Internet browser and go to the URL listed below. Then, replace INSERTNUMBER with the secret code of your choice. Once you the secret category, just add titles to your queue. You’ll be able to watch them from any device.

There are way too many secret codes for me to post here, so I put together a handy little ebook that lists them all. Keep reading to find out how to get all the secret codes in one handy place!
